Energize your online fundraising efforts

The Abila Activate program was designed for nonprofit organizations looking to grow their online fundraising efforts. This intensive online fundraising program takes place over one year and is designed in two phases to give you lessons necessary to create, maintain and grow your online presence. With a team of staff from Abila and a group of peers, you will quickly learn to maximize the resources towards online fundraising.

  • Receive industry expert assistance building three quarterly campaigns specific to your mission
  • Be able to network with small cohort of peers to learn and share ideas with

Abila Activate Program Outline
 

Phase I: Online fundraising best practices course

Attend a weekly webinar with other program attendees hosted by industry experts. Each week, you will spend time with a dedicated consultant helping you apply the weekly lesson to your organization.

  • Website best practices
  • Donation and registration forms
  • Email marketing
  • Fundraising campaigns
  • Peer-to-peer fundraising
  • Online video and social media


Phase II: Quarterly projects

Following your introduction course, our team of consultants will take you through three projects designed to put those lessons into action. Our consulting team will be spending one on one time with you every two weeks to assist you through these projects. These real world projects will not only provide you with the tools you need for fundraising success in the future, but will also help you increase fundraising efforts in real time.

Rich Dietz began his nonprofit career when he was the director of his college’s mentoring organization while obtaining his Master's in Social Work (MSW). He has spent the last 20 years working both in and with a wide variety of nonprofit, political and government organizations, as well as technology companies focused on the nonprofit sector, including Convio, KIMBIA and Abila. It is his unique background with nonprofit organizations and technology experience that allow organizations to better maximize their online fundraising efforts .

Jamy Squillace is currently the Product Manager for Abila’s Fundraising Online, Abila Fundraising 50 and Abila Nonprofit Online products. Jamy has been at Abila for over two years and has sixteen years of experience in product planning and product management. Her passion to create and evolve solutions to fulfill customers’ needs and desires shows in the way she continues to integrate customer feedback to develop products that exceed customers’ expectations.

Penny Brittain has worked with Abila since 1999 both as an employee and as a Business Partner. She began her career as a Regional Account Manager working with and supporting Business Partners . Since 2007, Penny has worked as a Fundraising software and application consultant, focusing on client trainings, software integrations, implementations and data conversions. Penny works with a number of Abila nonprofit products including Fundraising Online, developing and customizing online forms and utilities for client websites. Penny also works with our nonprofit clients to setup integrations between Abila Fundraising Online, Abila Fundraising 50 and Abila MIP Fund Accounting.
 

FAQ's

How much of a time commitment will this be for me and my team?
During your introductory 12 weeks course, you can expect to spend 3.5 hours a week with class time and activities outside of class. Following your introductory course, you will have quarterly projects. These projects will take a minimum of 12 hours per quarter. While these are estimates, more or less time may be devoted to this program.

What results can my organization expect from this program?
Your organization can expect to reach a larger audience which can leads to greater awareness of your cause and your organization. Overall you will have a trained staff ready to lead your organization to a bright future of online fundraising. This trained team will help you bring in more donations, sponsors, and volunteers.
