The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) wanted to expand its reach and improve member engagement. As the largest nonprofit membership organization representing hospice and palliative care programs and professionals in the U.S., NHPCO had the secret to driving membership retention. NHPCO knew that by increasing the number of subscribers on, and the flow of content to, its online community it would be able to increase its nonprofit membership engagement and collaboration.

NHPCO launched a refreshed online community, My.NHPCO, on the Higher Logic platform, integrated with its association management system, Abila netFORUM Enterprise™. This netFORUM Enterprise management software integration enabled NHPCO to strengthen its connection with and among members through its online community. Today, approximately 20,500 association members subscribe to at least one of the 15 sections of My.NHPCO representing each of the professional disciplines the nonprofit membership organization serves.
