New Software Results in Huge Online Donation Gains
Between its antiquated website and clunky, third-party online fundraising software, Lexington Humane Society (LHS) was missing out on critical donations. LHS’s supporters were so distrusting of its online donation process, the society often missed out on gift opportunities. And, when supporters did make an online donation, the manual method required to process the gift in-house was consuming a tremendous amount of valuable staff time. This hurt LHS, since it receives no operating support from the government or national animal welfare groups – it’s solely dependent on private donations, grants, and community support to continue its life-saving mission.
LHS needed a new website and trustworthy online fundraising software to boost its online revenue, increase online event registration, and enhance the overall donor experience. LHS chose to implement Abila Fundraising Online™ (AFO) as its online donation software solution. Since then, LHS has seen a “huge boost” in online revenue, raising $68,546 in its first quarter on the new software, and vastly improving the donor experience. It also estimates AFO is saving 17 hours of staff time per month – that’s more than a half day each work week now being put toward strategizing and advancing the shelter’s mission.
